Electro-optical trap for polar molecules

چکیده

A detailed treatment of an electro-optical trap for polar molecules, realized by embedding optical within a uniform electrostatic field, is presented and the trap's properties analyzed discussed. The offers significant advantages over that include increased depth conversion alignment trapped molecules to marked orientation. Tilting polarization plane field with respect diminishes both orientation lifts degeneracy $\pm M$ states molecules. These other features are explained in terms eigenproperties polarizable subject combined permanent induced electric dipole interactions at play.
